For the last 10 years, Carilion has celebrated the holiday season with its Lights of Love Program. For the first time, that program has expanded to Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital (CFMH).

With a donation of $10, you can pay tribute to a loved one with a commemorative ornament hung on the hospital’s Christmas tree displayed in the lobby. At CFMH, proceeds go toward a clothing closet for patients and scholarships for local youth volunteers who are interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and Carilion New River Valley Medical Center also have participating trees, with proceeds going toward hospital stays for families traveling to be with a loved one.

The ornaments are hand painted, and they’re available for pick up after the holidays. You can visit the Carilion Clinic Foundation website to learn more and make a donation. If you have any questions, please contact Ronnie Altice, guest and volunteer services manager, at rdaltice@carilionclinic.org.
