What part of Franklin County do you live in? How long have you lived there?

I live in Boones Mill with my family. We’ve lived here for about three years, but I grew up in Franklin County and attended Franklin County Public Schools.

What’s your favorite part about living in Franklin County?

My favorite part of Franklin County is the family-like atmosphere. You can find close-knit community here. When I was growing up, I can honestly say I took it for granted. But now that I have my own family, I appreciate it.

What do you do for fun outside of work?

I like reading, going to the gym, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy working on my passion projects related to education. I host a podcast about K-12 education and recently launched a children’s book series. It features my son as the main character as he explores all the different possibilities of what he could be when he grows up.

Where is your favorite place to hang out/workout/eat out/etc.?

My family and I love El Rodeo. It’s got great food and a great atmosphere.

What’s your favorite place in Franklin County?

It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I would say Snow Creek. I grew up on Mount Carmel Road, so Snow Creek always holds a special meaning to me.  Whenever I go “home” and see my family, I reminisce on my childhood.

What advice do you have for finding or meeting new people?

It doesn’t matter if you are at your favorite restaurant, the store, gym, etc., just be your authentic self and you will connect with folks.
